A Senator Who Works As Hard As You Do

I am running for the United States Senate in Florida to fight for the the middle class and working families, to lower insurance costs, raise wages, and strengthen Social Security, Medicare, and Veterans benefits. I will always defend Democracy, Voting Rights and especially the Right to Privacy and Reproductive Freedom.

I was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, and educated in Florida public schools. Growing up in a family with eleven brothers and sisters, we learned the principles of faith, family, and hard work. As a former member of the Florida House of Representatives, I understand the difficult problems facing Florida families, as well as the important issues facing the nation.  For over thirty years, I practiced law in Tampa, Florida, representing small businesses and working families who were often facing hard times.
