Tax Reform

Rick Scott and other extremist Republicans have recently changed the United States’ tax code, and these changes have given unfair tax loopholes and unreasonable tax breaks for billionaires, rich corporations and foreign enterprises.  These tax law changes have caused trillions of dollars in tax expenditures, which have directly caused huge annual budget deficits in the trillions of dollars, which are bankrupting America.

In the last several years, the national debt has tripled to over 35 trillion dollars, and the annual interest on the national debt will soon be almost one trillion dollars, which all Americans must pay each and every year.  This “payment” robs America of the financial resources we need for other important programs.

Brian Rush will fight for a fair tax system, so that every rich corporation and every wealthy billionaire will pay a fair tax rate.    Brian Rush will fight to close the unfair tax loopholes which only benefit wealthy individuals who are not paying a fair tax rate. 

Rich billionaires like Rick Scott should not be able to avoid paying a fair tax rate when many hard-working individuals and families are already paying a larger percentage of their income for taxes, insurance and inflated prices.
